Welcome to Dunstaffnage - 2008

The Dunstaffnage Festival on the 19th & 20th July 2008, is one of Scotland's most unique & exciting independent festivals. Started as a birthday party in 1992, the festival has gently grown into a 2 day event with free camping facilities. The intimate atmosphere will this year be fed by 5 stages operating from mid-day till 1am delivering a high quality blend of national and international talent spanning new bands, Indie, rock, reggae, folk, Celtic, electronic, funk, soul, jazz, dance, film & comedy.

Situated 2 hours from Glasgow and 1.5 miles outside the town of Oban, the site sits on the shore by Dunstaffnage Castle looking west to the islands of Lismore & Mull. This location provides a stunning destination at the end of a journey that will take you through some of the highlands most dramatic landscapes and with a shuttle bus service to the town it offers easy access to all the usual amenities/travel links.

This festival is run by people who want to give Scotland a broader events calendar and the programme has much more to offer than just music. Art installations, street performers and puppet shows populate the site along with full food concessions to suit all tastes, with licensed bar facilities open till 1am.
